Our First Few Days
After a few days in Manila (which
is very much like New York City - only crowded), we headed off to the resort
town of Baguio City for some fresh air. It was a seven-hour cab ride that cost
me $40. There's nothing like living like kings for about $40 a day: Hotel,
$20; Dinner for Two (with huge tip), $12; Cab across town, $1; Movie for two,
$1; Lunch or breakfast, $4. You get the idea.
